Gusto

Gusto is situated on a corner at Five Ways, Paddington, where if you sit outside, you can watch the chichi residents of the eastern suburbs come and go. It's a deli and café with graceful decor and a homely feel, complete with dogs' bowl at the door. X and I shared a hearty vegetable soup and then had a moist, crumbly tart each: mine with salmon and dill, hers with tomato and goat's cheese - the latter excellent, but both delicious. The sun shone all too briefly, with the promise of rain later.
