The Egg & Soldier is at 379 Glebe Point Road. It's guarded throughout by brave soldiers (and there are two very large stone eggs at the entrance). The staff are friendly and there's a relaxed atmosphere; they serve home-made juices (here, pear and apple), an interesting selection of teas (arctic fire?) and a nice range of freshly made options for lunch. I tried today's special, which was a chorizo, baby spinach, sundried tomato and provolone omelette, the mild provolone nicely balancing the spicy chorizo.
