Pigeon Ground

Pigeon Ground is a record shop and clothes store sited in an old newsagents at 102 Salisbury Road, Camperdown. Although there's a lot of vintage clothing and accessories, there's also a range of clothing by Sydney designers Secret Squirrel (eg the sequinned top shown below). The shop is run by amicable George, who plays mellow music from an extensive second hand record collection, and there's a huge and interesting mix of objects here. Although Pigeon Ground sounded to me like a line from a play ("To think that they would lay him in the pigeon ground!") it's actually named after the primary school attended by the original founders.

  1. "How to Improve Your Sight". I need to read that so that I can read the sleevenotes on the records.
